The Instant On Secure Gateway SG1004 is a 1GbE wired secure gateway that offers routing, VPN, firewall, and IDS/IPS capabilities. It is an affordable option for cost-sensitive customers, those expanding to a new facility, or customers who are subscribed to less than one gigabit of internet connectivity from their ISP. Firewall
Monitors and controls network traffic based on policies, creating a barrier between trusted internal networks and untrusted external networks to prevent unauthorized access and cyber threats. Default settings block external traffic from accessing the LAN. Policies can allow or block traffic, enable Port Forwarding, and Client Access.
Intrusion detection and prevention (IDS/IPS)
IDS and IPS monitor network traffic for suspicious activities. IDS detects and alerts administrators about potential security breaches, while IPS actively blocks or prevents threats in real time. Together, they enhance network security by identifying and responding to potential intrusions.
VPN
SG2505P can encrypt traffic flow with site-to-site and remote VPN options, ensuring secure access to internal resources for remote work. This protects sensitive business data transmitted over the internet.
Site-to-Site VPN
Site-to-site VPN is used to connect two sites securely when both sites have Instant On Gateways installed. The SG2505P is ideal to place at a remote or branch office to connect back to a main site.
WAN Resiliency
This feature ensures continuous connectivity during network disruptions using multiple ISP links. The Secure Gateway detects issues (link degradation or failure) and reroutes traffic to the best available ISP uplink, minimizing downtime and service interruptions.
